Description

This was made by an accomplished carver and cabinetmaker. The movement is signed "C.A.Lenderman, 1991, No.131, Dibell, Texas", and "OJR" in olde English script. The 28 inch gold case was made and carved from solid mahogany that in some places is over 2 inch thick, and the entire case was gold leafed. We cannot determine if he bought the movement or made it. The weight is homemade, but shaped properly and runs the clock adequately. The pendulum, dial, and hands are all very nice. Behind the black throat glass is a metal chute for the weight to descend thru. All there, no missing pieces or parts. Everyone who sees this clock real-ly likes it. I suppose the selling price will tell us just how much it is appreciated.
