Description
Approx. 36 inches high and 16 inches wide. The case has a few repaired hairline cracks and I believe it has been refinished at one time; the color is a very dark mahogany to black. All glasses are good, case very tight and sturdy with brass stabilizers at bottom. The movement is 8 day, dead beat escapement, triple wind. This is an interesting set up; this Grande Sonnerie movement runs by a single weight for the time, both striking mechanisms are spring wound. Unusual to see three key holes and one weight. The movement is wood shelf mounted, over-sized two piece dial, oversized pendulum bob; hands, weight are old and in good shape. Runs and strikes properly.
