Description
The excellent 22.5 inches wood case appears to have some age, and gives every indication of being a nice turn of the century clock. Various shades of wood inlay all over the front, vines, leaves, and flowers. 8 inches wood dial painted green, raised cartouche type hour and minute numerals, still in very nice condition. Brass sash with a bowed glass. Front wind just below the hand arbor. The movement shocked me. It is a one day Urgos, balance wheel movement. There is lots of room in the back for a large movement. I see no evidence it has been changed out, so my little brain has decided the clock is not as old as I first thought. Probably 1930's or maybe even post war in the 50's. It is still a lovely clock, been in storage a long time, but like all of this gentleman's clocks, after I wound the time only movement, there is no stop-ping it.
