Description

Condition: Gilt case in original as found condition with some loss, wear and flaking. The top stretch of gilt rope is missing from the lower door (hard to pick out really) Original painted dial has some paint loss at the mounting screws. Both tablets, hands and finish are original; eagle is a brass one, nicely detailed, but probably not original. The tablet depicts the Constitution and Guerriere. The case has a label in the bottom that reads: ÓJ. B. VanSciver, Camden, NJÒ and also has the number 65 stamped in the wood. Height 42 inches
