Description
It will surprise most readers that this fusee movement was used into the 1870s in both the large octagonal gallery and in the London model. This movement is unique in that it retains its original rear cam. Examples of this movement (without the calendar cam) can be viewed in the new book THE CLOCKS OF IRENUS ATKINS, by Gregory and King, pages 55 and 81. Height of plates = 6.25Ò, with fusees, 9Ó. Note one wheel is loose due to broken pivot.
