Description
The artists name, "Bruchon" is signed in the metal base, and a brass plaque attached to the base says, "Gloire par Bruchon". That surely translates to Gloria, like Ansonia's Ball Swing, Gloria". Someone suggested that I remove the leaf, solder a swing arm bracket in her hand and made a French swinger. That would be very simple and easy to do but I prefer to sell them like I get them. I have probably sold some that had been converted, but at least I didn't know it. I would suspect that at one time this statue had a wood or marble base or was attached somehow to something. Good old statue, just awfully dirty. Soap and water is a good cure all for those problems.
