Description

It is believed ST was experimenting with less expensive clocks to see if the customers would accept them. This was the late 30's and early 40's, but their experiment was cut short by the war. There is a full label on the back door. Although only a two spring clock it strikes the quarter's bim-bam and the full hour count on the hours. Bowed glass, silver dial, ripple type molding around the base, 4 turned feet. Walnut case about 18" long. Isn't it unusual to have a quarter hour strike in this attractive case and be, "less expensive"? .
