Description
It looks like a Junghans although is unmarked. The one day balance wheel movement has nickel plates, running very well, the cuckoo does his thing, moving and cooing, on the half hour and hours. The bellows are old but no doubt replaced at some time. The dark oak case is really attractive. Note all the little brass ornaments, half columns, fancy turned finials, battlements around the top. Just a very different miniature shelf only 15" high. The case is clean, and original with the possible exception of the top finial. Repair notations back to 1910. Full back door with latch and knob. French type bezel over the paper dial with brass center. Old wood bird and his wings move when cooing.
