Description
There is a large paper label, complete, covering the lower half of the inside backboard. In addition there is a card label held with one small tack that says only, "C.Jerome Eight Day Union Gilt Moulding". 14" mahogany or rosewood veneered case in excellent condition, no veneer problems, has been refinished and the gold paint redone. Original dial pan, but repainted several years ago. The 8 day movement strikes a coil gong on each hour. A good early shelf clock. This very influential clock maker was the first to produce catalogs Reference: Ehrhardt's Book No. 1, page 7.
