Description

The William L. Gilbert Clock Co. commenced operation in 1873. This pre fire model is only 13.5" high whereas the later ones were 14.75" high. Looks to be mahogany veneer and has a few small chips around the base and curved sections around the door. Good gold around the door, replaced table is a picture of Mineral Springs Lake around the turn of the century. Nice full label, good original dial, minute hand repaired but very serviceable, oiled and running just fine. 8 day, striking a coil gong. Good clean shelf clock. Ly-Gilbert #1046.
