Heavy brass case, hinged door, heavy beveled glass. 8 day, time only, seconds hand, running. Dial is signed, "Smith's Astral, Made in Great Britain". Painted metal dial is 6". Widest part is the back of the heavy case, 8". For the money a very good ships clock.
