Description

Very, very nice mahogany gallery, 18" zinc dial, original paint, only slightly soiled, a very few paint flecks near the bottom. Still have the original tiny screws. I doubt the dial has been off 3 times in its life. Case is 25.5" across the back, hinged at the top, key lock at the bottom. Large 15 day, time only, brass movement, attached to an iron back plate, signed by Seth Thomas and inscribed, "60". Isn't this the same movement as in #180 above, that in the catalogs they call a "40"? Good grief, why don't they keep it simple. A factory stamp on the back, "1908K". This clock is near perfect, clean inside and out, and running unless I managed to get it out of beat. Ly-Seth Thomas #381.
