Description
With the brass handle raised it stands 10.5" high. 8 day balance wheel movement, rack and snail strike count, striking a large standing gong. An 18th century reproduction of an English bracket clock. The back door of the case is signed, "Williamsburg Restoration". Painted metal dial is signed, "Chelsea", and, "Tiffany & Co. New York". Brass feet, handle, dial ring and sash. Bowed glass over the dial. In addition to string inlay on the front, the top and base is beveled and grooved. Ly-American Clocks, Volume 2, #326.
