Description

Case is walnut with gilt ornaments, stands 24" high. It is very clean, surely refinished at some time, although no telltale streaks on the back or underneath. Burl walnut around the base, good original glass and mirrors. The statues are metal, castings not sharp, no doubt are modern replacements. Nice original finials, statue bases, and other trim. The pendulum has a slow-fast gauge on the front. 8 day movement, strikes a cathedral gong hourly, and is running very strong. On the back is two thirds of the original label which identifies the clock. Just like #107, this clock also has a sorry dial. For just a few dollars you can have it painted and then you will have a clock to be proud of. Ly-New Haven #1243.
