Description

19.5" high case has grain very similar to red oak, hence the case is a brown-red. Back wind 8 day time and alarm balance wheel movement has open square plates and is not signed. It is running and the bell strike alarm will definitely awaken you. The movement looks to be American, however the clock has a lot of German-French characteristics, particularly the numerals, hands, and the etchings-carvings. The wind knobs are all there, but all different. Good dial, brass sash and beveled glass. There are three little brass finials on top. The bottom board may have been added for stability, can't be sure.
