Description

Ebonized pearwood with ormolu mounts and dial surround. The mount on the base features swans and flowers. There are swans on each side of the grid iron pendulum above the ball which is 7 shells in a circle. The dial is engine turned as are the capitals and bases with the round columns. The well made 8 day, bell strike movement is signed simply, "FC", in script, and the numbers, "415" appears on the movement and also on the pendulum. The clock is original, sound, and in very good condition, and really a nice example of the Empire style clock.
