Circa 1825 7 1/2 inches painted zinc dial refitted from old parts from another clock, 8-day, brass weight driven movement, early 19th century mahogany "patent timepiece" made by a Willard family contemporary, 1/2 round molding with glazed panels, even with its hurts it still is a beautiful and well made timepiece that compares favorably to Massachusetts' south shore timepieces, as outlined in chapter ten of Paul Foley's 2002 book "Willard's Patent Time Pieces" (available at www.roxburyvillagepublishing.com), minor case with wear, reverse painted tablets are Victorian replacements, movement complete and running.
