Description
This clock was made maybe 20 years ago for public display in a large foyer. It has an early twentieth century movement with open escapement on the dial. The case has large full round Corinthian columns and a heavy marble top and bottom (it takes two people to move it anywhere). The brass uprights have inset pearls every inch, and the bezel is inset with brilliants. The decorative pendulum was made for the clock and has zinc inserts in clear glass tubes. The figure on top (guard) is in 16th century armor and with a lance in his right hand, and is removable for shipment. The front beveled glass has a one inch crack near the bezel that is not too noticeable. If you like large items, this may appeal to you. Height 46 inches
