Description

"DuffyÕs Pure Malt-Whiskey" is carved onto the upper door, while "Absolutely Pure and Unadulterated, Trademark", is painted on the lower glass. The 32 inch high case is made entirely of wood and retains the original finish now darkened by coal smoke and similar. It is interesting to check the finish of the old case, underneath the doors, where it still shows glossy and clean. 8 day, time only movement, large brass pendulum, store regulator style. Almost all the label is intact on the back of the dirty old case. I will go out ona limb and say this rare old clock is 100 percent original with the possible exceptionof the lower glass, although the entire clock and glass is identical to theclock pictured on page 26 of Ly-New Haven.
