Description

There are reasons of course, but the reasons donÕt detract from the beauty of the clock or the skill of the cabinetmaker. This collection of ViennaÕs came from a gentleman whose lifetime hobby has been restoring clocks, primarily ViennaÕs. We have sold many clocks from his collection andhave yet to receive a complaint. For over 30 years he made most ofthe tops, finials, and other trim pieces, that you bought from the major clocksupply houses. Now retired, he is selling most of his collection. This 3wt movement is unsigned, but has been put in excellent operating condition. The 2 piece porcelain dial is superb, all brass has been cleaned. The 48 inchwalnut case is refinished top to bottom, repairs or replacements made wherenecessary, has a new top and no doubt some new finials since it was the restorersexpertise, and there is a piece of carved wood on the base, otherwise a verysimple styled case with great wood graining and finish. This is a clock anyonewould be pleased to hang in their home.
