Description
This is a mahogany shelf clock, a little different case than we are accustomed to. I never really paidmuch attention to this clock until now. The sides, top, and even the back, are all finished in a rich beautiful mahogany, but the front is what is sounusual. They used string inlay and blocks of burl mahogany inlays. It wouldreally be a special clock if cleaned. 8 day, balance wheel movement, rackand snail count, strikes a large standing gong, and is running fine. 6 inchsilver dial, raised brass numerals and a machined brass inner decoration. Brass bezel, beveled convex glass. The back door is a large piece of brass with cutout decorations and a curtain over the cutouts.
