Description
8 day, time only, trapezoid movement, is unsigned but looks identical to movements No. 61 or No. 62 used in the Seth Thomas regulators No. 7, No. 8, and No. 17. Refer to Ly-Seth Thomas No. 420. The back plate and seat for the movement is new. The case was well made and is very similar to some of the large Seth Thomas regulators pictured on page 142 of Ly-Seth Thomas. The elaborate oak case is 63 inches high, glasses on the sides and two glasses in front. There are applied ornaments on the dial board, and dentil molding on the cornice top. Brass pendulum with a new wood stick. The 12 inch dial was professionally painted on a new metal pan. Hands are well made copies. This is a very good looking wall clock with a very low minimum.
