Description
This is a 30 hour OG clock, 2 weight, good running order, and striking a coil gong on the hours. Weights, bob, and hands are period. Metal dial was restored with painted roses in the corners, similar to the previous clock. Glasses and the label are all really nice. Brass movement is the correct 1.5 for this maker. As I am sure you know, Chauncey Jerome was Supt. of the Austin, Illinois factory during its short existence, and he later sold these clocks with his own label. This 26 inch mahogany veneered case is just outstanding. I donÕt even see evidence of any repairs. We rarely get a clock by this maker but the last one sold for $425 in the August 2000 auction.
