Description

We offered this clock in the Jan. 2003 Auction, but some of our comments were confusing to potential bidders. We now offer it again and will try to clear up any confusion. This is a contemporary cuckoo made in the 1980Õs. This is one of four they sold in the USA. The elderly owner is moving to smaller quarters and regretfully has to dispose of the clock. The deer head and antlers are life size and all the wood is good quality and the carvings were done by excellent craftsmen. Nothing flimsy or cheap about the clock, it is big, heavy, operating properly, and cuckoo collectors just love it. The movement is 8 day, time, strike, and music. The music box plays three tunes; "Dr. Zhivago", "Edelweiss", and "The Blue Danube", changing the tune each hour. The cuckoo comes out on the half hour and hour, and strikes a gong. You can use the "night shut-off" switch if the noise is not sleep inducible. We have the three large packing crates that came with the clock so it can be boxed and shipped anywhere, or we can have it delivered by an antique hauler.
