Description

There is a great carved base, applied wood trim, finials, 4 columns, dentil molding, and spindles, all on one clock. Aftera close inspection the case looks darn near perfect. Wood dial has porcelaincartouche numerals, original hands. 8 day movement is not signed, but isrunning and strikes a wire gong on half hours. Centigrade thermometer hasmercury, and I believe it is working. Aneroid barometer with porcelain dialis all there but may need to be calibrated. These old French balcony topclocks bring some real serious money in some sections of the US. See Ehrhardt, Book 3, page 90, for almost identical French Cartel clocks.
