Description

This one has a base and top of green onyx, and cloisonné in all the right places. None on the back, but on the front and sides. One line of cloisonne is just below the onyx on top, and another above the onyx on the base; and on both full round columns; and all four feet, and around the outside of the dial and the entire inner dial. This cloisonné isa lot different than other we have seen. The colors and designs are brighter and different on the columns than other places, different on the dial than other places and etc. Four heavily beveled glasses, front is bowed, the other three flat. The bowed glass has some chips in the upper right corner. I have had this clock in my home for several years and never noticed them. Naturally the flat glasses are all good. The onyx is perfect. Live mercury pendulum running the 8 day movement, outside count wheel, strikes half hours on the nickel bell. Movement is signed "Marti et Cie", and "A La Gerbe DÕor". Brass clock pieces are numbered "63". Undoubtedly one of the nicest French crystal regulators we have had in quiet a while.
