Description

Refinished 21 inch high walnut case, some etched decorations in front, 2 flat columns with metal capitals and bases, beside the dial. 8 day, gong strike, white paper dial. I would suspect the dial paper was changed in recent years. Brass bezel and sash. The metal statue is holding a conical pendulum. Power from the spring escapes as the pendulum circles around the hairpin rod. Billed by Kroeber as "Totally Noiseless in the Escapement". They made 6 Noiseless Rotary clocks in the series, this being the last. We had the clock serviced, adjusted so it runs properly. It is all original as to parts, dial paper and wood finish excluded. F. Kroeber Catalog of 1888-1889, page 19.
