Description
Both strike a coil gong. 26 inch mahogany veneer case is darn near perfect, a nick or two on the edges, and a small loss of veneer on the sides of the base. I would take a case this old and this nice anytime. Some repair notations indicate the clock was serviced in 1893, 1894, and 1909. Full label, minus a small tear or two and a little loss in the weight chutes. Old glass in the top, a cardboard print in the bottom, no doubt behind new glass. Old zinc painted dial with about 10% paint loss, doesn't have much appeal but it is original and very old. Period time and strike side weights, alarm weight is not correct. The movement is signed the same as the label. Good door latch, old pendulum.
