Description
They made a set of 6 with interchangeable tops and from what I see in the catalogs they changed glasses around also. In the catalogs you might see one top on the General or Major, but when you find that clock the tops may be reversed. This is a beautiful 23 inch walnut case with an original glass, dial, and pendulum. Movement is 8 day, striking a gong on half hours. Full label indicates this is the "Major". The case is very clean, but I think the finish is original. Ly-New Haven, page 338.
