Description
The barometric readings are in French. Good porcelain dials and rings. French hands, visible Brocot escapement, all in near perfect condition. The brass surrounding the dials is etched with flowers, leaves, and vines. 4 heavy beveled glasses, only one tiny corner chip. Doors, movement and case parts are numbered to assure a match. Polished brass case is 11 1/2 inches high, 6 1/2 inches wide. Typical French pendulum, rolled brass vials instead of mercury. 8 day round, bell strike, movement, marked only "A.I." and case number "685". This is a very unusual clock in working order.
