Description
"Brass Clocks Made & Sold By Wm. L. Gilbert, Winchester, Conn", ca 1845-1848. Hollow Column case with old iron weights. The case is very small for a hollow column at 28 inches. A really nice mahogany veneer case except for some chips on the bottom board. Beveled around the doors, and a chip or two, stained over and hard to find. Great full label, period pendulum, zinc painted dial, old hands. Dial professionally touched up, all 3 glasses are original and in pretty good condition, held by original putty. The columns are 2 1/2 inches at the top and taper to 3 inches at the bottom. 30 hour brass movement.
