Description

We believe the movement could be early Viennese. The pendulum hanger made in shape of a snake, and the hands are most unusual with the minute and second hand being a match. Brass pie crust bezel around the 7 1/2 inch 2 piece porcelain dial. Brass pendulum and weight. Movement has been cleaned, restrung, and is running.Excellent well finished, 44 1/2 inch walnut veneered case with no visible veneer repairs We have never seen veneer with inlaid veneer and satin banding around the front and side glasses. There is also satin inlay in the backboard. Similar styles of Serpentine cases are pictured in Rick Ortenburger's book, "Vienna Regulators and Factory Clocks".
