Description
The 44 inch cherry case is identical to the old ones. Glasses were painted by Tom Moberg, dial painted by The Dial House, on a new metal pan. The hands were professionally made by a well know hand maker. The top glass is held by putty, the bottom by wood strips. The finest brass accessories, latches, hinges, etc. were used in the construction.Movement is old and signed "E. Howard & Co. Boston", and proper for this model. It is 8 day, weight driven. The weight is a new casting from an old weight, marked "2". The flat weight descends behind a partition and the pendulum swings in front of the partition. The stick and bob are also old.
