Description

It has a New Haven simple calendar movement, and a double spring time movement. Very nice 10 inch painted dials, (with a seconds dial) have minor chips around the arbors, but lo and behold they are nicely repaired. The brass is polished, case is clean. 50 inch oak case is in a medium shade, now mellowed over these 100 years. Movement has retaining power. Runs real well. There is a beat scale in the base and a full label on the back. Miller's "Calendar Clocks", page 128, pictures this clock. Ly's books do not show it. Over the years I have had at least 4 of this exact model .Each one was made for the American Wringer Co. See Bulletin No.243 and No.253 for information on the American Wringer Co. New Haven made this clock for them to award as prizes, probably for selling laundry equipment.
