Jaeger LeCoultre, Swiss, circa 1950. Fine and interesting eight-day going brass and glass mystery clock. C. Two circular glass panels within a gilded brass frame separated by fine wire net, rectangular, gilded brass base. D. Gilded, Arabic numerals for 3,6,9,12, indexes for remaining hours painted on the back glass, gilt "Dauphine" hands running between the glass panels, in the center a plaque with the maker's name. The movement hidden within a box behind the plaque. M. 43 mm, half-plate, nickeled, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring. Signed on the dial. Dim. 19 x17 cm.
