Description
In this model, the drive to the hands extends up the central column, but not in a rotating motion, but rather an up across and down motion of the glass pane in the rear. A similar clock may be seen in Derek Roberts' Mystery, Novelty and Fantasy Clocks, page 228, while an illustration of the motions involved may be seen on pages 230 and 231. This particular clock has very nice mounts, well chased, although the gilding is worn, and a bit of blue oxidation on the ribbon. However it is very unique to see this model with a round movement in a round base. Height 141/4Ó $11,000-$12,000
