The top domed portion of the clock has been re-veneered. The case lost some of its original finish and then someone brushed over it with a coat of varnish. The dial has been repainted and the grommets changed; hands are original. Retains proper pendulum with sandwich glass insert. Has about 50% label on rear. For a complete discussion on Patti clocks, see Tran Duy Ly's book titled Welch Clocks (1992), pages 154-157. See also lot 342, which is a cleaner clock, however this consignor had a particular reserve price in mind that established our estimate. Height 18.50Ó $1,575-$1,875
