Description
An early shelf clock. It is not as nice as the other London in this catalog. 17 inch, figured mahogany case is exceptionally nice, glasses are original, over half of the label remains. 8 day, gong strike, running. Repainted dial. The"fixer" got loose again and moved the gong stand around, and fooled with the mounting blocks, but shouldn't be anything a good fixer can't take care of. To research this case, movement, label, and maker, refer to page 290 of Kenneth D. Roberts book, "The Contributions of Joseph Ives to Connecticut Clock Technology, 1810-1862".
