Description

This clock was actually manufactured by the B. B. Lewis Clock Co. between 1868-1870. We know this by the "peep-hole" in the lower calendar dial and the straight mitered base. When Lewis went to work for Welch he sold his surplus No.2 mantle clocks to Welch who put his label on them. Nice full label, original glasses, dials. Some wear on the gold but a fine collectable old clock. 8 day, strike, runs good. Over half of a B. B. Lewis label on the back. Ly-Calendar, page 348 or Ly-Welch, page 77.
