Description
Ebony wood case 20 inches high, simulated red tortoiseshell, Boulle brass inlay and a white enamel filler. Yellow enamel filler around the base Two front columns are covered with a tortoiseshell like finish and Boulle inlay, bronze capitals and bases on all 4 columns. French 8 day movement with outside count wheel, bell strike. Cast brass sash around the porcelain dial. There is a hairline at the bottom of the dial. 5 spires on top, plus a rail on each side extending between the spires.. There are some minor case imperfections, normal for this type finish and age of clock. Sunburst pendulum is a replacement. Clock will run but needs service. Most unusual case, and case style, probably ca 1880-1900.
