"Forrestville Manf'g Co., Bristol, Conn", ca 1835-1840. Dial and movement signed same as the label. A large overpaste almost original to the case, of cat and 2 mice, with the title, "The Enemy Asleep". 80-90% of label remains. J. C. Brown is listed as one of the owners. Typical 8 day, weight, brass movement, and gong. Period weights and pendulum. All 3 glasses are original and need to be backed. Very good wood dial, 34 inch mahogany veneer case with half columns-gold capitals and bases. Needs to be cleaned, some scuff marks polished off, tightening of the case. The doors are beveled.
