"Manufactured by Atkins & Downs, for G. Mitchell & R. Atkins, Bristol, Conn". 8 day wood movement strikes on an iron bell. Nice clean wood dial, full label, period pendulum, weights, and hands. Huge 42 inch mahogany veneer case with maple trim, carved accents including the paw feet. Full turned lower columns, half columns above with new marble effect. Fantastic gold leaf on column capitals and bases. Has 2 escutcheons and working door locks with a key. Beautiful bottom glass restored or repainted in the door. Note the clock has 2 large glasses and 2 small glasses. This restored clock is exceptional.
