Description
by the great French clock makers the "Marti" company. Classical design with white onyx top, base, and columns, bronze capitals and bases, and other bronze decorations such as turned feet and swags on the front. 4 excellent beveled glasses, hand painted porcelain dial with floral garlands, and signed by the selling agent, "Ovington Brothers". The dial surrounded by a ring of white jewels, of which a couple are slightly darkened. Bronze French hands, large bronze pendulum also with a ring of jewels, 3 darkened slightly. The round French movement is signed, "S. Marti et Cie, Medaille D'Argent 1889". Strikes a hanging gong, half hours. The clock is in excellent condition and is running. No breaks or flaws, stands almost 13 inches.
