Heavy 3 train, 8 day, chain fusee movement, chimes the quarter hours on 8 silver bells or 4 cathedral gongs, hours striking a very large cathedral gong. Runs and strikes properly. Large brass movement and brass dial. Subsidiary dials regulate "Slow-Fast", "Chime on 8 Bells-Westminster", or "Chime-Silent". Silver dial ring, matted center, foliate spandrels and cherub spandrel. 19 inch walnut case with gilt metal urn finials, feet, and brass acanthus. Carved gothic side frets. Front and sides inlaid with flowers, vines, baskets. Key lock doors, large glasses in each. Gold around the door glass. Typical W&H movement. They made many similar clocks without their name being attached.
