Description
Beautiful ebony case has hundreds of pieces of pearl inlay, both on the outer door and on the dial surround. There is also a great amount of wire inlay all over the case, in spirals. Case is a large 20 inches square. 8 day movement, strikes on a wire gong. The movement is enclosed in an iron box like the early Morbier movements, and is running. 9 1/2 inch glass dial, signed, "P. Camns, Rennes". Some work to the movement but it appears to be original to this case.
