Description

If you can do some work on this early clock, ca 1880's, you will have a nice clock. Starting at the top, there should be a brass eagle instead of the unsightly thing there now. The old iron dial has the original paint, still very good. The glasses definitely should be replaced. The gold painted frames may well be original, certainly the paint is very old. The brass side rails, pendulum bob and weight, are all fine. 8 day movement is well made and typical of the early banjo movements. It was recently serviced and is in good running order. The hands are period for this clock. The old putty is still around the convex top glass.
