Description
This clock is running and striking the quarters, but the case suffers from some losses: the outer door frame and glass are absent completely (still, even a modest carpenter can cut a frame to fit), and the gold leaf areas have been brushed over with gold paint; the dial with some chips around the winding arbors. Otherwise this is a good early 18th century clock with original silk-thread movement, hands, gong assembly and pendulum. Our estimate reflects condition. Height 21 1/2"
