Description
with restoration and missing top trim. See Kroeber 1874 catalog for image of this model. This case is of ash with burled veneer on the door on front surfaces; also with Eastlake style incising in the case. Although the original gold leaf tablet is intact, the glass pendulum has been replaced with a brass unit.. The dial pan is old; freshly painted with "K" logo by the Dial House. Back of case has a vertical dry split. The book calls for a length of 43 inches if complete, this one measures 39 1/2" as shown; clean and good running order; strikes on a cathedral gong. Would have brought $2000 if correct.
