Mahogany case with applied columns and faux gilt decoration. Gilt decoration depicting basket of fruit on the crest. Case retains old finish and patina, as well as original tablets. Extra clean label reads: Manufacturer Birge Mallory & Co., Bristol, CT Brass metal dial. Time-and-strike, eight-day, weight-driven, brass movement with exposed escapement (See p. 151 in Horology Americana for nearly identical example.)
