Description

Dimensions:19" tall by 14" wide at the base. Maker/Mfgr./Author/Artist:J. and R. Shepherds, New York, NY. Condition:Very good with replaced wood box cover on the back of the clock. The brass movement recently cleaned, polished and adjusted for perfect operation. Circa:1880 Materials:Cast iron case front, wood box back; brass movement. Description: "J. and R. Shepherds; Patent Applied For". The present movement in this clock fits the hand shaft opening and both winding holes, but I suspect that it was not original to the clock. The movement is clean and strikes the hours on a heavy gong.
